The STAT was designed for the fast and agile future battlefield. From inception, this single Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) encompasses the features to reduce weight, cube and time to provide a operation room clean and bright space for a command post, field hospital and future Chemically and Biologically protected shelter.
The STAT is completely modular in 12 ft long and 20 ft wide section, and can be complex in full end wall opening or also backward compatible with the TEMPER doorway.
The integral spaced liner provides a reduction in the Environment Control Unit (ECU – Air-condition) weight cube and cost as much as 50%.
The STAT is an environmentally responsible shelter. The fabric is 100% Polyethylene synthesized from natural gas. FFF established a recycle program, where the production waste and the shelter is recycled at the end of its useful life into injection molded objects. Figure 2 is an example of a granulated STAT fabric injected molded into an electrical connection at FFF.
